With a reputation of being the award winning, high quality, full service, green printers of Sussex, Foundry Press needed the creative flair, experience and knowledge of a local design agency, with a reputation to match, to assist in designing and developing their new company website. Local design and branding agency, BlueFlameDesign, were undoubtedly the perfect choice.
A meeting between Foundry Press Director, Bruce Phillips, and BlueFlameDesign owner, Matt Bennett, revealed that the brief Foundry Press had in mind was in fact quite simple and fairly straight forward.
Over the years Foundry Press have built an enviable reputation for being the leading Green Printers of Sussex, along with being one of only 260 green printers in the UK who are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited. The brief was to simply promote Foundry Press as being the leading green printers in Sussex who believe passionately in their responsibility to the environment, whilst delivering unbeatable customer service and high quality print solutions to businesses, organisations and individuals throughout London, the South East and the rest of the UK.
Foundry Press Director, Bruce Phillips, explained, “We have worked with BlueFlameDesign, a local graphic design and print marketing agency, for many years supplying high quality print for their clients. We have always found their artwork to be of the highest standard and their attention to detail second to none. It seemed only natural to ask them for their ideas first before we made the corporate decision of completely redesigning our website.”
He continued, “Working with BlueFlameDesign frequently in the past has helped to forge a relationship of trust and understanding between our two companies. They are a very important client of ours and have a very solid reputation for delivering creative, quality design and marketing material on time, every time. A reputation that Foundry Press similarly uphold. There was no doubt in my mind who should be appointed to assist with the design of our new website … and BlueFlameDesign lived up to their sterling reputation yet again. They were on hand to discuss the project in great detail along the way, giving guidance where necessary and really helping us to understand the complexities for some of the requests we were asking.”
Foundry Press are very well respected for their community commitment and believe in keeping work local. With this in mind, and due to the requirements of the proposed new website, it was agreed that a specialist web design agency should be involved to assist with the build and code of the new website. Chichester based website design agency, Access-ByDesign, were appointed for their experience and to further compliment the projects ‘design and development team’.
BlueFlameDesign owner, Matt Bennett, stated “BlueFlameDesign have built a reputation of being a very easy-going, friendly and approachable design agency that assists small to medium sized businesses with their graphic design, branding and print marketing requirements. We have enjoyed working with Bruce and the rest of his very experienced team at Foundry Press over the years, and understand that they have a very similar outlook to business with their friendly customer service and unbeatable level of quality and professionalism.”
“Over the years, Foundry have helped us to produce some of our most memorable portfolio pieces for our clients and so we were thrilled to be asked to design the new website and take the creative lead role.”
With all three companies working closely together, it was paramount that the lines of communication were kept open and that the project was managed in a way that suited all. BlueFlameDesign were appointed for their creative ability, to design the new website and to help Small Business Branding Packages for Foundry Press online. Access-ByDesign were appointed to code and build the website whilst developing an SEO campaign to help raise the profile of the new site, whilst Foundry Press could rest in the comfort that he had the best of the best handling the new company website design that Foundry Press so desperately needed to help raise their business brand profile further.
The result is a very bright but clean design with an easy to use, top bar navigation that allows the reader to visit any page on the site. The site is packed with the information you would expect to find; such as the print and finishing services offered, details on fulfillment and storage, information on print personalisation and merchandising along with information about the company, their awards and accreditations as well as many testimonials from very happy clients, BlueFlameDesign being one.
Both Bruce Phillips of Foundry Press and Matt Bennett from BlueFlameDesign concluded, “The website looks and works very well. It’s easy to navigate and holds a massive amount of information without looking cluttered. We are both very pleased with how the project ran and will now be looking to develop the online presence of Foundry Press further by planning a Social Media Marketing strategy so watch this space!”
